Rusty is a fourth generation native
Coloradoan. His desire to draw, paint, and sculpt goes back to his
childhood, even to the years he can’t remember but his mother told of.
Rusty grew up drawing on paper sacks and carving from firewood the
ranch animals and wildlife that
surrounded him. His knowledge of wildlife comes
from his years of guide work for a big game outfitter. His experience is
first-hand but the detail of
anatomical precision have been researched by Rusty from books and his
experience in taxidermy.
Since becoming a professional artist, his awards and accomplishments
have been many. To name a few; Gold, Silver and Bronze at the Western
Heritage art show, Littleton Colorado. A dozen or more commissions by
the US Air Force.
